why doesnt the story game have a coop version? online coop woulda been amazing.

ONLINE co-op on a Wii game? Pfft, keep dreaming.

I am hoping the WiiU provides some wi-fi co-op, though. Now's the time for them to do it, since Nintendo is promisin' a far superior online experience compared to the Wii.
