Actually MS started breaking even on the 360's a few months ago, so only Sony is losing money now on each console.

as for HD-DVD/bluray, we'll have to wait and see. And the pr0n industry will be using both formats, there was an article on this on slashdot recently. They used HDDVD first because it's much easier to produce, and Sony won't help them at all, but they said they will be releasing on both.

Hmm, can't find a link, I remember reading it back around September/October time.
