The thing is. Blue Ray disc is the next form of DVD. It's HD quality and if you ever saw one playing, You'd do what i did and go home to a huge 52 inch tv and say. "My Tv Sucks." The picture is amazing. It also gives Sony the ability to make their games with such good graphics, Since they hold 25gb and extra room for the information to play it.


As for how they do the PS2 games as well, Sony has us beat? I have no clue.

The chances are high that Blue Ray WILL be the next DVD so to speak, as they have more backing from movie studios. HD-Dvd has the backing of WB and the porn industry, but most consumers will not pay 400-500$ for a player just to watch porn. Blue Ray does have the upper hand at the moment but I think.. no I know, that sony can completely win this format war by simply released a cheaper blue ray player, because in the end the consumer will buy the cheapest HD movie player. For Games, blue ray is the obvious winner. Its really relies on what Sony does in the next few years.They have the upper hand right now, but one wrong move can turn the tables, and one right move can end it the war.
