From my estimates Blu-ray will lose for 1 reason. Pornography. It was reported from a video website that Sony stated they will not support Porn for their Blu-ray format. Now if this is true it will end Blu-ray's chances of taking the market share. There are already many HD-DVD porn titles available. And I believe which ever format is accepted by the pornographic developers will take the market. No matter what your opinion is on pornography the supporting community numbers are a force to be reckoned with. Let's not forget about Betamax vs. VHS, we all know how that turned out, on a large part due to pornographers heavily using the VHS format.

That's an opinion you can't say it's "better" just because you like it more. And I personally like CS:S better than any game whether it be PS2, Wii, or PS3. (All of which I have played.) But you probably don't care that I like it more. Just like no one cares about your petty opinions.

Just another generic game according to that statement from a review by gamespot, with many other review sites agreeing.

As for no good pc games. I'll go in no particular order. World of Warcraft, Unreal Tournament 2004, Battlefield series, Call of Duty Series, Doom, Quake series [pioneered the fps genre], half life series [reinvented fps], after looking through these games I've no need to continue the list as thats just a few percent of whats good.

Not to mention the fact that the PC pioneered the FPS, RTS, RPG genres making them what they are today. Take a look at the PS3s best games of each genre and you will undoubtedly find out that on the PC there are at least 3-5 much better within their respective generations.

Saying resistance is the best, clearly identifies that you have no real concept of the gaming industry in general. I would advise you to take a look at gamerankings, gamespot, ign, egm, gi, etc for a history of PC gaming in general and how it made your consoles what they are today. Perhaps you've just never had a good pc gaming experience because maybe your hardware is lacking?

There are still PC games I've been playing for years. The original Age of Empires I still play and when it came out was around 1996-1998ish and it's still fun. I played half-life deathmatch daily since its release in 1998ish. Still do. Now I enjoy the hell out of Half Life 2 deathmatch. Try posting on the steampowered forums that PC games have no character, no class, no graphics, no action, nothing. You'd be overwhelmed with replies. It's clearly apparent that the PC and Console worlds are completely almost seperate these days. PC gamers enjoying their RTS, FPS and RPG games. Console gamers enjoying their outdated graphics and rather shallow games. [resistance---imagine it running on a 8800GTX/GTS or SLI setup] it would look absolutely amazing unlike it looks on the PS3.

Console gamers just recently got major entries in the FPS genre thus leading them to believe that they are brand new or something lol. I've played resistance on my cousin's PS3 and can easily say that I've played the same game at least 5 times already on my PC. It's nothing but a generic shooter, overhyped to try to boost PS3 sales which clearly isn't working.

Sorry to knock you off your high horse but those links are pointless. You may as well not have posted them. They don't show or prove anything. Again as you clearly dont understand that you got that information from a blu-ray site. That means nothing which is exactly what makes it petty.

I can't believe you're actually needing proof of good PC games. How about the Half Life games? Serious Sam? Duke Nukem? Wolfenstein? Doom? The Battlefield games? Quake? GTA? COD? MOH? Personally, I liked Evil Dead: Hail to the King

And before you start any **** about any of those games being on consoles, they were all ported from the PC, if they're available on consoles at all.

Not entirely true. Most people I know download their porn and burn for their own pleasure. Maybe they'll be burning to Blu-Ray discs...

Highly unlikely given that DVD is much cheaper media.

However it is entirely possible that people will shy away from BR for that but then again only time will tell.

Exactly how is the power of Bluray gonna completely help the Ps3 tho? I dont think many gamers care if the game has a extra cd in it since its HDDVD format.

Sure, in a few years bluray or something else may be the new format. But that doesnt mean much for gaming publishers, if Nintendo or Microsoft or what not wish to stay in a certain format thats working for them - why would the developers care if the dominant format is bluray? Especially since it wouldnt cost the publisher as much to produce the bluray.

If Intel is backing it up there's a really GOOD chance that those companies may switch their sides. There is also however a good chance that AMD will back Blu-Ray, but highly unlikely.

Blu-Ray still has a decent chance, but nowhere near as much as HD-DVD has.

Well. Most of those companies will PROBABLY switch when they find that it's costing them more to make them, and they're not selling as much Blu-Ray's costing so much is basicly the PS3 of those companies. Likely to lose money to make the product.
