Xbox 360 Video Help !!!

ok so i just got my 360 in the mail nds everytihing is fine, and when i first connected it to my tv hdtv mode the whole screen was scrambled and then i made sure everything was ok and somehow it went away, but now in both regular tv and HDtv mode im gettling Slight waves/scramble lines, im pretty sure nothings wrong with my tv and im wondering if its the 360 cuz i just got it off ebay, i can play threw it and everything its just that its slight waves and u see them more in Dark backgrounds, im gonna try it on another tv a flat screen with hdtv (my tv im using is a standard sony tv but its not old with the hd av outputs. If i still get the slight waves on the other tv im guessing somethings wrong with the 360 or the HD AV cable?? help me out so if anytihng i can refund this ishh ty

are your av cables set to hd tv

also check if your power cords are not getting tangled with your video ones. You can get some nasty induction noise.
