I don’t know if this helps but i get the same results when i switch mine over to that resolution on my non HDTV. Are you sure its really an HDTV? Not trying to belittle you just trying to help

Ya, you might want to check that. Just 'cuz they say HD on them doesn't always mean it can support HD. Stupid, but true.

On the manual it says this TV support display: SDTV 480i / HDTV: 480p, 720p and 1080i. It even has a port thingy for hdtv and I can select HDTV through the source button.

HD ready just means it is missing a tuner. It can still display any inputs in HD
