You're what makes the economic travel world happen with manual labour on trains...?

You're active nonetheless, can't deny that.

That's the reason I would nominate myself for a day. Some poketrolls are back...

I'll look into the Pokemon section :)

Rather then someone checking every now and again wouldn't a constant mod of that section help?

Cpt.McCloud:
1. Knows the rules
2. On very often
3. Helps members
4. Respects other members

Problem: I don't know that much...

Byuakuya:
1. Repects others thoughts
2. On often
3. You don't insult people
4. knows the rules

ME/Icyoooppplaa:
1. I come on everyday
2. I follow the rules...at least I think I am...
3. I help If I can
4. I don't insult people

Eh...thats my nominees or suggestions...

This has been done in the past and has accomplished nothing. At this point all it is is false hope and ego-boosting.
I agree it's not our choice, we can't really do anything about it. You're right it's just ego boosting, also self-promotion.

THAT'S THE PROBLEM.

We may moan or just sit and watch the forum be spammed but when we have a place to give our opinions to the staff you all just think it is ego boosting.

Only about 2-3 people volunteered themselves and they gave perfectly good reasons.

We can make it our choice.

i disagree..

we are the ones that are in the forums everyday and to cut the spamming WE are the ones that can stop it by simply not adding to it..

even if it is out of hands which it really is it never hurts to speak ur mind and bring forth ur fellow wii chatters

and as for the ego boosting Cpt. said it best the ones who have voted themselves gave legit reason.

Gnerally, the popular users are getting nominated, and I stand by that, fair do, they come to the forum a lot. But that doesn't necessarily mean the content of their posts is brilliant. Why should we be the ones to choose if we are our own problem? Wouldn't we just be adding pushovers to win over? Hah, you know, there's no one better to pick a moderator than a moderator. They should notice anyone who stands a chance.

This is definitely a form of ego boosting, well everything can relate to that. But I don't see the point in this thread at all.

I'm British. ;)

Public voting, we've all seen how many people agree with those. The majority of people aren't that well knowledgable, there's only a few of them who know they would be a good moderator. This thread should be suggest yourself as a moderator, not have others put yourself forward.

i dont see nothing wrong with public voting

EDIT:: IF its done the right way there shouldnt be anyone to complain about it...u take ur vote and thats that.

It is not convincing people to vote for you it is basically an insight for the MODs to see what the people want.

I really could only mod in the holiday breaks. I'd like to help, but I can't. You'd all just hate me more anyways. I'm a strict type when in any authoritative roles. :p Nopost nopost nopost ban ban ban permaban .
I wouldn't give vets any unfair treatment nor would I give newbies(I'd be quite a bit nicer to scary penguin man, then again, isn't everyone!) unfair treatment. I'd try not to show my ego or dislikes either. I don't like biased mods so why be one. I don't care too much for offtopicness(if it were to persist I'd start deleting posts and later deal out noposting). I don't believe people should complain about offtopic chats until 2 pages. Also "report" not whine. Whining adds to the offtopic part and also is just like spam it doesn't help revive the thread. Whine too much and you should get 2day nopost offtopicers get 3day.
Karma. :) Thats the qualities I'd strive for as mod and thats what I hope everyone else stives for that. A fair environment.

The way another forum I was on went in terms of modding:
Offtopic*, Whining instead of reporting-, Troll-, flame fights-, fanboyism-, piracy talk, Curses*, dupe threads tri posts*, lots of sex talk or Porn-.= NOPOST SPAM-, ADS-, Malicious links-, piracy links, out of control religious or political free for all knock down drag out fights* = BAN Buildup of previous by same user, Hate, Homophobia, Xenophobia, alt accounts, propaganda, Hate spam =Permaban- Permaban things persist and happen alot- =CLOSE DOWN

*=Lenient
-=Strict

Funny, it was just a teeny sports forum hosted by a friend. :(

No, other people are putting different members forward, and although I agree with a lot of the selections, people will definitely just put forward their friends. It's human nature.
