Wii in Australia thread

Some customer came up to me today and said "happy australia day", only problem was I thought he said happy shirley day. I kinda blinked and said 'yeah right'. I worked it out eventually... I am terrible with accents. Someone asked for 'Filters' once, Had NO idea what they were talking about. All I knew was it was something to do with the smokeshop. I was suggesting 'paper? lighters? tobacco?' Everything BUT Filters. Like I said, terrible with accents.

And OOOOh I was soo annoyed. I lost all my progress on Zelda. I knew I would. I just hoped... But I did. The New Wii. I was up to the Ice/Water Temple... and all gone.

Oh the thing I love doing is saying "we don't give out plastic bags for three items or less"

I get such satisfaction out of it! Because it annoys them. Sometimes they steal them while I'm turned away to put cash in. I don't stop them. I could. But since they waited until I wasn't in a position to defend them (and I will) I let them go. They look at all the plastic bags I have, and kinda glare the leave.

I HATE the intercom. Someone asked me to pick the phone up once. I didn't. I squeaked and made someone else do it. People actually get excited over the closing calls. I don't. But, at the moment it sounds retarded. The supervisor that did it tonight, I did not catch a word of what he said.

And yeah - Oceanic, I got a new Wii. My last one broke. Some crappy stuff with the Wii Remote. I decided to return the whole thing, nobody was quite sure if it was just the remote, or the senor bar. Or what. The chick at Big W had no idea.

do you guys still go to school? or are you uni-bums like the so many others that i know :p .

working fulltime has its advantages ( re : $400 for a 19yo on junior wadges) but it also has its disadvantages ( no life, and comming home wanting to sleep).

when you guys finish school/uni or hit 18 ( if not already) go out to the mines ! a co-workers brother works out there.. $1200 in hand for driving a water truck around, i could do that :D

Our policy is we dont offer plastic bags for two items or less, but if they ask for one we have to give it to them, I'm just waiting for the day when they have to buy plastic bags, that'll wipe that smirk right off their faces!

I've got one year of school left... Yr 12. Wait, no 3 terms left of school. Yay. And then I'm doing something at Uni. Dunno what. Something.

I'm a uni-bum, although my degree involves very little bumming :( I'm doing a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering degree and a Science degree majoring in Maths. Yes, i AM a freak :p But hey, i enjoy it. I only do about 10 hours a week work, I simply dont have the time during semester.
Oh yeah, and this is my second year this year, cant wait to go back in about a month!

Still got a couple years of head of me in school but don't really care school easy, and I start Friday so still got a week or so left of holidays.

Well, I am meant to give plastic bags if they ask... But, well, you know. Its fun. And "we have a plastic bag shortage" is great. They don't argue. Some woman had two bottles and wanted two separate plastic bags for it. So, I thought 'okay one', so she argued 'there is no green bags for me.' Come on! Two bottles in one plastic bag isn't heavy! They hold much more.

My god. I am dreading the return to school on Tuesday. And its... very close. Its not fair! Rest of the school goes back Wednesday. But noo, year 7,11,12 get to go back Tuesday! What fun.

I want to do a Bachelor of Digital Media at the SAE college in Byron. But, I doubt I'll be able to afford that... So... God knows what I'll do.

one piece of advice for the people at school.

when term 3 comes in Yr 12..... study your a** off if your going for a OP, so many people did poorly on their OP test because they didnt study.

Oceanic: so you will be designing planes? if so.. i have a good idea of what your design will be ( re: wii shaped plane)

Bang on the money. Not many people guess what I want to do when I tell them that. Desiging aeroplanes would be my dream job. What ideas do you have?

Its strange. I've chosen year 12 to skip classes, take my time getting to them. Taking long "sulks" in IPT. Once I "sulked" outside with a friend on a free period for 20 mins. I was missed, but it was okay. Its great being one of two girls in the class. Special. The guys make one attempt to go outside, and "SIT DOWN!" I point and laugh. They look at me and sulk. Being Female the teacher, who is male, doesn't WANT to know what took me so long.
