When will Wiis stop flying off shelves?

My friend and I were having a discussion about when one will be able to go to any store at any time and be able to purchase a wii. I don't think it'll happen anytime soon...minimum 2-3 more months of this sell-out. He believes that he will soon be able to get a wii without waiting in line on release days. I was wondering what the general consensus of the people on these boards were?

i think it will be around another 2 months...maybe more if were lucky. for me its lucky, becuase ive already got my wii, and it measn nintendo are beating the rest..for people still hunting, its bad news lol.

gamestop CEO said in interview that it looked like nintendo was intentionally holding the sale for awhile and it will lift in april.(although it is still way more than ps3)
so yeah, april.

the rush should stop september-october, but then start again because of holiday season. so practically itll stop in january 2008 i say

Nintendo has already stated they are not holding back Wiis, funsohng.
I think maybe late this year or early next year...I doubt it will be too soon!

Not only wiis, but the peripherals are hard to find too - well, harder than they should be.
