Its so hypocritical to critisise someone for "lazy" grammar and spelling and then expect people to go out of thier way to write how you would like them to (cuz its easier for you) and not how they normally would .
And Brawny ; are you serious about your fonts and text colour ***** ? I mean was that point really worth the effort it took to type it ?

Sometimes I think people like to correct others just to let them know how superior they are and because they like to put people down
i didn't understand the first part of this post.

I choose to use proper grammar and spelling. I find it easier to understand posts when they are grammatically correct, so I see it as common courtesy to post the way I do.

I guess he took a bullet for me there, so I'll answer you.

Fonts that are narrow are annoying to read, especially when they make my eyes squint. Wuddle is actually a good poster, it just makes me skim over some words and makes me miss out a big chunk of text. Oh, look, someone's vouching to get something easier to read.

Hypocrisy wins.

Of course it distinguishes who is superior from others, stupidity is obviously less superior to that of intellect. I don't like to put people down [STRIKE]that much[/STRIKE] but some morons deserve it.

if (your)ur mad that people don't use correct grammer, then i believe YOU have a problem. (fragment)Come on who cares, if you can't read it then just ignore it. this is stupid. (fragment) Besides (broken rule) sometimes writers break rules to showcase thier style. So (broken rule) if you don't like it maybe you are just ignorent.
PS I hope these corrections show how ridiculous this is. That style is call satire.

So you are saying that people that post with grammatical errors are less superior people?

Are you serious?

Just because someone has less smarts than another person, whether book smarts or street smarts, doesn't make them less of a person. There is a lot more to life than just intelligence.

On top of that, a persons grammar on a forum is an extremely inaccurate way to measure intelligence. Some people just don't care about perfect grammar. Amongst those people are some brilliant poets.

Greetings,

I may leave a stale taste in your mouth, but I feel this is something I must share. I have looked all over the Internet for a Wii Forum that had a nice look, a big community, and so forth. What kills me is when I read some of the threads/replies. Do some people not think before they post? Are they too eager to add to their post-count that they neglect punctuation, grammar, and normal speech? I can't understand half of the stuff said on the forums because they read like this: "yeah i would go with SMG its better and is going to be the best game ever so its ur money man don say i didnt tell you lol." That was just a sample of a run-on sentence with no punctuation. Notice the text-style writing. I may get banned from this forum, but please think and write normally.

Sincerely,

Wii > You

well said mate! I couldnt agree more. text style typing absolutely does my head in. ban em I say :)

cue flames :)

I'm not intelligent, I just know how to use grammar to get my point across correctly. I have said nothing that could make anyone less of a person.

I just think that, when people are writing out a CV, they use correct grammar, which is believed to impress, of course it works, you just earn my respect if you type in correct grammar. It shows that you have the time and actually care about a thread, it's not like you should value every little bit of time you have, but adding in a few more letters will make everything all the better.

Is it just a lie for someone to use correct grammar on their CV when they don't use it online? I see that there is no difference between them, obviously these people do, a CV is potentially used to get you money. I thought people had some good will to at least type orderly when not getting something in return.

I just measure respect to the language, and the readers by using correct grammar, it's just polite. Alright, you can let your slang and speech slip into your posts, I really don't mind that, I'm not typing in an essay manner, I just like to believe that it is conversational. Imagining that people actually talk like that is quite pathetic and not human.

I like you for challenging my opinion, that's what I believe a forum is about, not asking a quick question and getting the hell out.
