Turn A Wii Into A Home Stereo For $5 (Or Less)
Here's how you can turn your Wii into a home stereo able to play your
entire personal music library and use none of the precious Wii storage for
$5 or less. Since most people already have their Wii connected to decent
speakers, you can get great sound and have all your music at your
fingertips without adding another device to your home entertainment system.
Step 1: Signup for a free online music locker at MP3tunes dot com.
You'll immediately get 1gb of free storage space along with software for
Mac/Win/Lin called LockerSync. Use this software to load your locker from
your PCs. This will put your songs into your locker, remove duplicates and
add artwork for every song.
Step 2: You will need to connect your Wii to the internet. Every Wii comes
with built in wifi receiver so connect it to your home wifi network in the
Wii Settings area. You will need Wiiware which costs $5 if you don't already have it. Buy it in the Wii Shopping Channel. This is a full functioning web browser you can use for browsing, web mail or an
interface for your home stereo. After purchase you will have an Internet
Channel.
Step 3: Use the Internet Channel on your Wii go to:
