105+ unique shinnies (this list is from a few years back, lost the up to date one in a hard drive crash... so there's 10 or 20 more shinnies unlisted, I'll fix that eventually). The number is notably less when countin' an evolution family only once, of course...

What?! are they all legit (except for Toxicroak)? I'm pretty happy with having two. One Dratini, which I got in-game from Alder (White 2), and an Azumarill, which I caught in the very beginning, same game, while looking for Riolu and Lillipup.

What's the N challenge?

Check out Splash_King's second post on page this page.

Single Challenge run update:
- I flew to Cerulean City and received a bike.
- I flew back to Celadon City and went through the Team Rocket Hideout, where I defeated Giovanni.
- I flew to Lavender Town, got to the top of Lavender Tower, defeated Marowak, saved Mr. Fuji and received the Poke Flute.
- I woke up Snorlax at Route 16 and biked through Route 17 and 18, into Fuchsia City.
- I got Surf, in Safari Zone, and accidentally caught a Rhyhorn. I later found out that I actually needed him to be my last HM Slave. I called him Rhyhorn.
- I gave Surf to DerpSlavee, my Vaporeon.
- I received Strength from the guy with the Gold Teeth, and gave it to Rhyhorn.
- I beat the Koga and the 5th gym.

Excellent, two testers more than just my lonesome. Always good t' have second opinions. So, any ideas for tweakin' the ruleset?

...

I was worried no one would be interested, which would be bad news for the Challenge itself.

Aye, all legit bar Toxicroak. Still gotta remember t' test it and see if it is or isn't...

What's the N challenge?

Renamed it to the "Harmonia Challenge" since "N Challenge" sounds rather... lame.

accidentally caught

How does one accidentally catch a Pokemon? >_>;

I already have 4 other challenges running (1 didn't start yet) but don't feel like doing any of them at the moment, so I will turn my Soul Silver into the Harmonia Challenge test version... I'l probably start playing and updating tomorrow after I slept and fully understand the rules :p
I already see the rule with no HM slaves as pretty hard since you may have problems with getting the right Pokemon for it, but I'll see how this will work out...

I'm already scared of Lance... So far I always defeated him by using at least 5 revives, so this will be pretty hard for me...

That's one'a the best thing 'bout new rulesets: they can be truly challenging even when done standalone. I don't need t' be concerned with makin' all the new Challenges doable enough for newbies since there's already plenty'a said easier Challenges.

I'm hopin' the Harmonia Challenge ends up more difficult than No Item in certain aspects, but isn't ridiculously harder.

Just by looking at the rules it seems about as hard as the no item challenge when you put some work into it, because you can revive between elite 4 members and you can heal the Pokemon, but you have to train a completely new team every time, which takes some effort and you have a very small variety of Pokemon

You also have t' factor in the lack of EVs. In a No Item Challenge, your Pokes are naturally stronger than their foes. That's completely thrown out the window in a Harmonia Challenge. Combined with the fact ya can't keep Pokes that you actually want, I'm predicting the Challenge will be a bit more difficult than No Item.

Forgot the ev's... this night be a big factor...
I just notice that I'm running out of games to store my Pokemon on, so I will have to start my single run and save money to get enough Pokeballs to save all my Pokemon from Hearth Gold, so that I can start the test...

Harmonia Ruleset updated a bit. Cleaned up the text, removed a clause or two. The only notable change is bolded.

1. After obtaining each badge, you MUST catch an entirely new team of four or more Pokemon. If that many new species can't be caught, catch as many as possible. You must release/permanently box your current team as soon as you catch the first Pokemon for your new team.

2. The first Pokemon encountered when it's time to make a new team MUST be caught and used.

3. If you catch a full team of six, you may NOT catch any more Pokemon until you obtain the next badge.

4. After beating a gym leader, you may NOT catch Pokemon in ANY location you have traveled through prior to arriving at that gym's city for the first time.

5. If you've already caught a Pokemon or any of its (pre)evolve form(s), you may NOT catch it.

6. If you're playing a version which lets you battle Gym Leaders out of order, do NOT defeat them in the wrong order.

7. You may NOT obtain and hatch eggs. You may NOT conduct any trades, in-game or without another game.

8. Pokemon required to be boxed/released may NOT be kept and used as an HM slave. N does not approve of Pokemon slavery.

9. You may NOT use Revives in the middle of a battle. N would never repeatedly send his Pokemon to be knocked out.

10. The Harmonia Challenge may not be combined with the following for a Combined Challenge: Monotype, Scramble, or Single.

Catchin' six won't be possible all-that often. Not forcin' you to catch six means ya can also keep the slots open for temporary HM slaves too.

Decided t' keep rule 8 as it was since no one whined over it, though we'll see if I won't be moanin' 'bout it myself once I'm inconvenienced by it. Perhaps havin' a Fly slave will be allowed so ya don't have t' bike across the entire region to find a proper HM slave... perhaps not.
