I announced and edited it all in one post over 2 days :D

I tend t' miss edits, as ya've noticed by now I'm sure. I never accepted that, did I? Ah well, whatever. Well done gettin' that good time.

The Gligarman, Update#5
Just a short one this time and I am too lazy to look up the names.
I went through the electric cave and bought Sandstorm at the market there. I found a Flying Gem (will be awesome when I need it :) ) and went to the tower to get the Lucky Egg. I did all the trainers I could find and then entered the gym with a lvl48 Gligar and easily bet them all with Acrobatics. On this island I did the spooky house and the cave.

NoMan:( level 53
Naughty Nature
Sand Veil
Attacks:
-X-Scissor (attack will get changed to different one if needed)
-Swords Dance (set)
-Sandstorm (set)
-Acrobatics/Bulldoze

Single/Scramble

I am doing a Single/Scramble challenge in Pokémon Black. Choose my pokemon for me, and when I have found my copy of Black, I will start the challenge :p I won't be able to trade any pokémon over.

Welcome to the thread :) A fellow European when I get back to Grmany :)
I choose Swoobat for you. I hope it doesn't count as useless :p

I will give the same pre-considerings I gave there:

"Anyway, Stoutland would be pretty nice. Only one weakness and one immunity. It would also learn several damaging non-normal types, so I could use it against ghosts (but before that, I could use Odor Sleuth). It would have some nice moves later on, like Reversal, Giga Impact and Work up. I could not see it defeating Shauntal, but that is a problem I will attempt to solve later. I will start playing now. :p"

- went through the tutorial stuff, blah blah, I am a boy, I am Thijsel, I beat Cheren, I lost to Bianca, I got the Pokedex, I picked Snivy, I FINALLY went to Route 1 and caught a lv. 2 Lillipup.

- Forgot to name my Lillipup, so it's just Lillipup.

- I have trained it to lv. 5 and used the marriland IV calculator to determine its IV's, and up to now, my Lillipup looks to be among the top percentage of [strike]rattata[/strike] Lillipup!

Lillipup lv. 5 (female)

Tackle

Leer

Odor Sleuth

Active Spirit (or something like that): Makes sure it doesn't fall asleep

Jolly nature

Welcome t' Wiichat amigo. =) Your Challenge is accepted, but normally a Scramble isn't applicable 'less the Pokemon ya receive are from Challengers in the thread. Keep that in mind next time ya do a Scramble.

- Did a lot since my last update. To summarize it:
- I beat Chili at level 14
- Lillipup evolved into Herdier
- I beat Lenora at level 26 (after a lot of trial, error, and Audinos)
- I caught a Patrat called HM since Lillipup couldn't learn cut. HM will stay at level 5 throughout the challenge and be killed in all double battles by Herdier :p

Herdier lv. 27
Intimidate: lowers enemy's Attack stat.
Take Down
Tackle
Odor Sleuth (for ghosts)
Crunch (would work better for ghosts so I'd better delete Odor Sleuth)

Great attack stat, also helps that most early-game pokemon give off attack EVs. Also good Speed. Its Sp. Atk is irrelephant and Defense, HP and Sp. Def are not bad either.
Herdier has been decent, but it had trouble with Lenora for some reason. It is pretty overleveled at this point, but isn't it normal to be overleveled in a Solo challenge?
Anyway, I do not like the fact that Vital Spirit was changed into Intimidate. Vital Spirit would have helped a lot with Lenora's Watchog... though I guess Intimidate is not THAT bad of an ability...

I am doing the monotype(ground)/no item/nuzlocke at the moment and it's not clear if I can use Pokemon that evolve into a ground type, but don't start as one (Turtwig) and if not can I keep it and give it an exp share later on until it evolved into Torterra?

Gligar in my solo run is about 10-20 over the other trainers, but that still doesn't make it easy. You will have problems when you run into Pokemon good against your type. (Almost lost to a wild Golduck I wanted to catch as Surf Slave)

I'm pretty sure you can use Turtwig but you may want to double check with 'Karp just in case
