I only forge weapons for their Crit stat.

I dunno man, the Dark Magic classes have pretty high defense. Their only real flaw is speed, I think. I don't remember if Sages are any faster or not.

I've never actually taken a character out of their starting class (aside from upgrading said class, ie: Thief into Trickster), so I'm used to characters in the same class having very similar stats most of the time. I could get some neat skills from switching it around more, I guess.

Because of the new reclassing mechanics in Awakening, it is actually more focused on Individual Max Stats rather than the growths.
Getting max stats is too easy

Except for non-tome users' Mag and Res stats, which don't like going up.

I wonder why they call them "Dark Fliers" if they can't wield Dark Magic?
