I did enjoy those two episodes. I have a soft spot for Fire Emblem storylines. I love the way the characters respond to each other and the histories and the character poured into each person. And I am talking in general of Fire Emblem games and not the anime. I can't possibly learn all about a character in two measly episodes...
And they followed the main game almost to the letter

Storylines are pretty good for what they are. It's more of a focus on dialogue between characters rather than action. A bit strange that checking the character info in the game shows you a sentence summarizing the character in a sentence or two. Much preferable to show, not tell.
That gives the hint of who to talk to like the conversation between Joshua and Caellach (Caellach is an enemy btw so it's not a support conversation)

Oh, I never figured out how the affinity thing works between characters. Was just a hunch most of the time for me.
