'Less deadlines eschew somethin' originally planned in the game. Y'know, like most quality games.

If DLC comes t' be, I'd assume patching will as well. I don't think we'll have t' worry 'bout the next Meta or nothin' in SSB4 if DLC does become a thing for Smash Bros... 'Least, I'd hope Ninty would have plans to do balancing checks 'n updates if they've the tools for DLC and such.

Technically yes, technically no. The only reason it don't is 'cause everything that would be DLC (dat robot apocalypse) is included in official updates.

Ha. That's actually the only DLC I'd be ok with. Completely cosmetic and useless features to pay for. Far better than paying for new maps or characters.

OR.... all the characters get in the game on the disc. Ya know, like a normal game.

The thing about that is there will always be new characters to be released over the course of video games. If this IS to be the last Smash Bros. (I doubt it though), then I want to see new characters that come out after the game's release to have a chance to get in.

One good example is Kat's appearance in Playstation All-Stars. She was not conceived until after the game was already too late in its production to include on the actual disc, so... they're including her afterward as DLC.

Yeah, and you have to pay extra. I'd rather get all my characters in when I buy the game. Not being charged separately for characters.

You need t' get outta that thick skull'a yours the idea that every single gaming company intentionally holds back data/locks it on-disc to wrongly charge for DLC. If anythin', Ninty is one'a the least evils in terms of pay-for content and such. Perhaps that'l change in the long run, but I highly doubt that'l become their typical business practice any time soon. Hell, most'a the DLC, if there'l be any, will likely be entirely free.
