Putting the silliness aside, they actually COULD put Magikarp in as a pokeball so that if he happens to splash his way into water, he transforms into Gyarados and unleashes a terrifying Hyper Beam on the unfortunate.

Ahah, knew it. It's only natural one of the first 3D scenes of a majestic Magikarp would instantly come to mind for me, none the less since it splashed across an entire canyon and then climbed a waterfall.

^ This. If they did, it not only wouldn't be a Nintendo fighting game with NINTENDO characters as the majority, but the original idea for the series would be scrapped in the process. Ninty would never do such a thing.

... But we can still dream, so don't bother stating whether an addition to the series is realistic or not, unless they really do think that someone like Ryu Hayabusa would get in 'n ****.
