The image is apparently part'a the Pyrosphere "that's really not visible in-game."

No, I think it's just in the background, considering we already know what the Pyrosphere looks like. It's the Ridley boss area.

It is the background but the stage will go down the long tunnel so the background will appear like it's moving

I'm somewhat confident that Sakurai meant this part'a the stage is off-camera, and you'll never see it without derpin' the camera around while paused/not at all.

It's like the good ol' days with the Smash Dojo. T'is good marketing too, leavin' your fans without entertainment for too long kills the hype.

... Not that hype for Smash will ever die. Look at Melee for 'Karp's sake.

Would you be surprised if it was? Footstool mechanics might be changed slightly; just enough t' remove consistent/safe footstool spiking.

Nah, it would more depend on the character then the mechanic itself.

Also, I wonder why Yoshi hasn't been revealed yet?
