Well in any case, it definitely looks like it's going to be OP, like a Bob-Omb, Deku Nut, or Smart Bomb, granted the Smart Bomb isn't that OP in power but makes up for it in a fair amount of range/blast zone, also granted it isn't a dud.

Even if the item doesn't automatically go center-screen, it don't look like it has gigantic knock-back. Considerin' it pulls a Groudon and takes up a shitton of the stage, I think my guess is likely t' be true. Otherwise it really would be utterly broken.

I actually believe, considering the fan uproar at Brawl, that Mewtwo has a good chance at coming back. Roy, not so much. And I don't know who it would be, but I also believe we are overdue for a Metroid character besides Samus. Maybe Adam or one of the characters from Metroid Prime Hunters?

I only hope that Mewtwo's return wouldn't oust Lucario.

Has Adam had more than one appearance/a fanbase? Are them Hunters relevant to the game's plot in any way? If the answer for any'a those questions is no, I'd say it ain't happening. Funny how Metroid's only had one superawesometacularimportant protagonist for so long... and only one reoccurring antagonist who's too big t' be playable.
