Soul Calibur has gotten below mediocre reviews. So, that's why he was making fun of you. Knowledge would lead to less ridicule.

Criticizing someone seeking out that knowledge shows extreme immaturity though.

OT - Soul Calibur is an incredible let down while Super Mario Galaxy went beyond my expectations. Soul Calibur is nothing like other games in the series. The game was just a way for developers to rack in some dough. DO NOT waste money on Soul Calibur.
