Don't be so sure...considering gameplay, Roy is probably replaced by Ike (killer B moves, super powerful blades, slow, etc.)

I haven't read what other people have said, but I predict on Thursday sakurai will begin posting the veterans to be unlocked, probably beginning with Ness or Marth and how to unlock them.

well, the latest image on brawlcentral confirms my thoughts on unlockables. he selection screen will continue to expand to allow more room for unlockable characters, so anyone arguing for few characters because of room on the selection screen, think again.
