With out items...SSB wouldn't be the same...don't get me wrong it's fun with no items, but Items is allways alot funner although not allways the fairest :shifty:

^100% agreed. Sure, it's good without the items, but with, it only makes it better, especially now since Brawl has FSA. You gotta have the Smash Ball, or it wouldn't be as fun. And yes, I can say that before playing the game lol.

personally after watching demo's i'm starting to like smash balls more and more
because you have to fight for it, it's testing your skills to actually get the item

Haha yea happened to me too...I can just imagine four people in teh same room playing with eachother then a smashball appears and everyone starts yelling trying to get it and then when someone does...aww I can't waitmushroomedmario said:

I cant see how the Smash Ball is going to be a balanced item at all, so many character's Final Smash's are weak, while others seem too strong (going from videos).
Lets have a look:
SONIC: Turns into Super Sonic...flies uncontrollably around the screen super fast....
KIRBY: Pulls out a giant couldrun, cooks up every character on the screen, then makes em fly out of the screen to an instant death, meanwhile getting health restore items from the pot to recover its own health...
How the hell is that even?

Kirby's FS does seem pretty advantageous, but he's not that great of a character anyway, so I don't mind. Sonic, on the other hand, I have heard could be high-tier. Therefore, you won't need the FS in the 1st place.
Then again, that's the nature of the Smash Ball. To totally turn the tides of battle.

....Dude.. all I've seen Sonic do so far is that Spin Attack... and a few VERY short range melee attacks... of course he can run and roll fast, but thats not fighting... they shouldve just called him 'Dogger'.

As far as Final Smashes go, some of them attack one character directly, or some affect the entire group of players.
There are also some that are able to do both...
For example: Samus's FS can hit 1, or all players.
