^^^ Hmmm. Wont that afterglow cooler block the vent on the bottom of the wii? Seems to defeat the purpose of a cooler if you ask me....

EDIT: FYI I was going to get the Nyko one, but I had never seen the second or fourth ones on that list. Any more info about those? Release dates, prices, etc.

I bought this Afterglow piece with my Wii. It is a great piece.

To answer your question, it has a fan on the bottom that is directly in line with the bottom vent and helps double-cool the unit.

plus the neon is super bright and it is quiet...

I recommend it...especially for $14.99

I can reccomned the Nikko Dual charging station that comes with the 480p hi def cable. It works great and the backgrips are really nice.

Final Verdict...

Ok, So is it GOOD or BAD to have a vertical Wii stand that has a fan built into the bottom... Now, this fan would be over the air VENT (not the fan in the rear) - so is it better for the fan to blow IN to the vent - or to suck air OUT of the vent?

I like to leave the Wii on standby as a result of Wii 24 or whatever it's called...

They sell them here for $5 - with blue LED's - so it's a cheap addition...

Im new here and just bought a Wii with Sports, Transformers, Mario party 8, Brain academy and Mario galaxy (on preorder). I am new to the Wii and don't know much about how far accessories have come since its launch.

This site has some really sweet looking chrome skins for the wii and controllers. I think I saw a link to the guitar hero III Wii chrome skins too.
