Whats funny is that the packaging claims its for Wii Sports but yet, you wouldnt be able to use the controller comfortably

No, even if you batteries are just down one bar you can charge it.

Its best for batteries to be near enough or if possible fully used before charging, prolongs the life of them just thought id say something on the matter

Well if you had the money and the knowledge you could buy another wii and mod it and have them matching

If you read the title of the first post it says "Wii Accessories". It started as a Wii chagers thread and very quickly turned into accessories one..by like..the ninth post actually lol.
