Pokemon X/Y

Current team:

Frogadier lvl 22
Litleo lvl 23
Tyrunt lvl 21

Ohhhh yea, this game is sooooo well done its ridiculous.

Btw... Dry Skin got pumped as an ability too. Now he who holds Dry Skin as an ability becomes immune to Warer type attacks. Da FAQ!!

Agreed

[strike]I was considering taking away the Like after reading this part, but I'm a nice guy...[/strike] It's always been like that, Storm.

Fury Cutter has a Base Power of 40, meanin' it's wholly usable in-game. Plausibly a usable sweeping gimmick competitively on (Swarm) Scyther? Notably more powerful than X-Scissor/Technician-boosted Bug Bite on the third hit.

Knock Off has 65 BP. Good news for Dark-types competitively.

Me and Squid were talking about this (the buff for Multi-Attack Attacks) and a Mega Poké who could bring it to the next level.

Well I feel sheepish... Or Gogoat-ish, whatever the poke pun may be, I may-reep (mareep) the benefits.

Any confirmation on that rumor of permaweather no longer bein' permanent?
According to Serebii the weather abilities do indeed last for 5 turns. But I confirmed myself that, at least for Pokemon x4 weak to it, Stealth Rock has not been nerfed.

I'd assume said Mega Pokemon would get it, it doesn't have any other moves to abuse with Skill Link.

My first playthrough I am devoting to only this new gen of
Pokemon. Current team, with 2 badges now,

Frogadier lvl 27
Litleo lvl 27
Tyrunt lvl 26
(Debating) Helioptile lvl 21

Helioptile at the moment is kind of just
There to be tested. I look forward to adding more pokemon of this gen to my team, one of which I really look forward to in the form of Pumpkaboo, a new Ghost/Grass type.

Only thing bumming me right now is when my lil' lion cub will evolve into Mufasa.

Holy 'Karp, you find Absol really early on. Definitely catchin' me one for my Y playthrough.

Also, I think horde battles might give bonus Exp. if ya knock out multiple Pokes at the same time. KOin' four Zangoose with one Bulldoze netted me 728 Exp.; which is what both my Honedge and Pancham received, so the total Exp. earned was split in half. Seems like a lot for a few Lv. 8 wilds, yeah?

Indeed. Speaking of low level awesomeness-es,

Snorlax at level 15 wutttttt!!! And lvl 12-14 Axew?? I feel they think its ok to have dragon types early on now that Fairy type completely annhialates them lol

Yep, some mighty powerful/quick-to-evolve Pokes are available really early on... but it's still balanced. There're just so many species t' choose from, the wimps greatly outnumber the broken.

since double posting aint my thing im postin my daily playthrough update here

Still but a single badge...
85 species seen, 62 obtained. I'm catchin' Pokes like an Oak; hence why I ain't beatin' them Gyms.
A hilarious 20 hours playtime clocked. Pokemon brings out the completionist in me, I can't help explorin' every [STRIKE]tom[/STRIKE] nook 'n cranny. Also I keep leavin' my 3DS on.

Honedge @ Amulet Coin, Lv. 24 (... ... ... how does Honedge have a gender?)
Pancham, Lv. 25
Charmeleon @ Charizardite X, Lv. 26
Riolu @ Quick Claw, Lv. 27
Braixen, Lv. 27
[STRIKE]Absol[/STRIKE] Cut slave (it's Modest natured anyways lawl)

... It's really easy t' get overleveled nowadays, between the new and improved Exp. Share 'n gettin' Exp. from catchin' Pokes. That's a Double-Edge'd Honedge t' me. Bloody convenient, but also makes in-game even more of joke for trainers like myself who obsess over completin' their Pokedex during the first playthrough. That aside, holykarpimenjoyinmeself.

I wonder if Riolu will evolve soon? Definitely would've by now if I received them Luxury Balls earlier and caught 'em in one.

Is the Exp. Share received early on in the game like it usually is?

Far earlier, even: right after winnin' your first badge. As Squid 'n I've mentioned, it's also many times better than it used t' be. Literally. It's a Key Item rather than hold, so it no longer takes up a Poke's hold item slot. Furthermore, all Pokemon that don't enter battle receive 50% of the experience yield. The Exp. they receive isn't taken away from the Pokes that enter battle either. It literally gives your team up to an extra 250% Exp., assuming you've a full team of six and only one enters battle. It's ridiculous lol.

Grinding, both pre- and post-story, is now hilariously easy. And efficient.
