BW1 made me feel the same way. Despite all the species bein' new (not a single old species makes an appearance until post-story), it felt new... and thus nostalgic. T'is what Game Freak went for; emulatin' the experience of catchin' those original 150. An adventure with nothin' but new sights to see, world and monster alike.
