...couldn't they have put more in? I think 90 should be the minimum, really...I did some counting, and I know about 55 or 57 of them, which doesn't leave much room for surprise. Kind of peeved about this really low number. I mean, I understand that they might be counting mega evolutions as Pokemon, but still.

They didn't add any normal "fish" Pokemon, either, according to my sources. What the hell.

Sorry Assasin, but if it means more Pokemon, I want some bloody DLC. Maybe it'll be free, who knows.

Only if they TF2-ify it and make it their sole pokemon games for the next 6 years, which would make paying for it worthwhile. Hats are mandatory.

But really, first the transfer subscription fiasco and now this? You know what, I sincerely believe we're getting DLC too. It's pretty much a fact that they'll sink this low.

Quality > Quantity. That is a smaller number than all previous Generations, but do ya really think they can keep up the 100+ per Generation trend forever? Ain't no easy feat when ya've got quality control t' worry about.

... Though, with the introduction of a new type, I am also a tad disappointed the number is lower than it used t' be.

Don't forget they have to design, model, and animate all the Mega Evos...
They might as well have added a hundred Pokémon.

On the bright side, Trollfreak now has experience with 3D modeling Pokemans... and has modeled every single species t' have a base to work with come next development cycle. 'Less there's an (understandably) intentional decline of new species introduced per Generation, I would imagine Gen 7 will introduce more.

There's so many new things they have introduced and so many old things they have improved on I think it more than warrants a cut in new pokes. As for the fairy type, don't forget that much of the fairy typing is now shared with a slew of older pokemon, mega evolutions be damned, I think this is gonna be the most in depth and competetive gen of pokemon yet.

Touching base on something as well, Charizards new X form is growing more and more intriguing, when thinking about it the combo of Fire and Dragon STAB renders the meta game defenseless with no sure counter to it on account of it being I resisted across the spectrum.

Untrue. Azumarill, being Water/Fairy, resists it (and Heatran but due to Flash Fire). Other possible type combinations that would resist it include Rock/Fairy, Fire/Fairy, and, somewhat ironically, Dragon/Fairy. I haven't seen any of those yet, but there might be some.

Unless by "I resisted" you meant "1 resisted", I assumed it was a typo or something.

And if there would be a fairy dragon, i assume it would be Mega Dragonite.
