Pokemon X/Y

Funny you mention it. My water starter I made up... well

Octopond > Laketopuss > Krakoncean

The final evolution is a Kraken Pokemon.
Aside from the questionable names, sounds pretty cool. Do you have pics?

questionable names

Those names are... poor t' say the least, no offense bro. Ain't like Pidgey 'n other such official names are any better. I'm sure the rest'a these fakemons' details are better anyways.

Y'all can go to hell

Pics will be up when I can manage it.

Since this thread isn't about fakemons... I might as well try to stir things up...

Sylveon's type is flying because

A-it's the only type other than normal that's believable,

B-have you seen the diagram?

C- "Sylvan" an air sprite,

D- Because a new, cool looking Eeveelution that [may] naturally learn fly, to show off 3D.

And you can b- about how we've already discussed this, but Sylveon the newest X/Y installment, so it's still what this here thread is for.

Me schooled on my opinions about buissness, type effectiveness, fake types, fake "Pokemon", Golems, Gollums...

Um, all I saw on Sylveon was that it wasn't flying... And I came with "proof" that it was so... Yes.

@Neosquid- I don't want Sylveon to be flying, but I think it is.

And wow, MR. You quoted yourself..

Maybe its Ghost type?

>_>

Okay maybe I'm just wanting it to be Ghost type.

I mean, its name is possibly derived from the Latin word "Sylph", and in R/B you had to use a SYLPH scope to see GHOST Pokemon...

Not to mention sylph bluntly means spirit in Latin.

Oh, and the other Latin word its derived from, Sylvan, yeah most keep saying "forest" or "occupy the forest" and all that. Pftttttt, nope. It had another meaning. "SPIRIT in the forest."

The word was also used as to refer to possession. Like, exorcist ****. "A spirit who occupies a forest." The crazy Latin words are always loose on their meaning of things. Forest sometimes didn't really mean forest. Using it in the sense I just mentioned, Sylvan was used as "Spirit who occupies *insert whatever the hell you want here*

Yeah, I'm pretty confident now, its a ghost type. Whatever type it is, it doesn't fit it looks wise, unless its normal.

EDIT: more on Sylveon being ghost type.

Its Japanese name is Ninfia, which is probably derived from the Greek word "Nymph" and the Japanese word "Tenin"

Nymph in Greek mythology is usually referring to fairies, but actually they are more commonly meant to refer to spirits found in the forest.

Tenin in Japanese folklore are ghosts that appear as beautiful women in traditional kimonos. Get this, their wardrobe usually consisted of bows and loosely worn scarfs that blow about in the wind.

Bows and scarfs.... hmmm...

I see your point but now you're making it seem a bit Grass type.

Leafeon.

Everything about the etymology points towards ghost. And its appearance, after finding out about Tenin, is obviously a reference to ghosts swell.
