I could've sworn trainers in earlier games had more pokemon than the ones in X/Y. Especially the gym leaders.

Yeah, it's pretty stupid. Max number of gym leader Pokemon is three, why there needs to be a limit I don't know, same thing happened in BW and BW 2. BW2's challenge mode increased the limit to four, which is...better.

That they did. T'is a design choice for XY I certainly don't agree with... I believe most would concur, if only when it comes to Gym Leaders and the lot.

Some pleasant information has been revealed 'bout Pokemon Bank. Firstly, ya can move Pokes by the box, so thank 'Karp for that. 'Bout time really. Secondly, you earn Poke Miles by usin' the Poke Transporter; but you can also opt to receive Battle Points instead, which is downright 'Karptastical. Looks like I won't need t' do any Battle Maison grinding.
Also, there's indeed a free 30-day trial for those who download and use it prior to January 31st. So for y'all stingy assailants out there who refuse to pay the $5 annual scrubscription, there's that.
Oh, and I s'pose it's important to mention that the character Brigette from this thing is returning for Pokemon Bank. A solid hint at Ruby and Sapphire remakes, perhaps.

Discovered a very minor glitch with the skates. If ya do a running start, then do that there swivelmajig (barely pressing the control stick in a direction), you'll maintain the full speed from a running start permanently 'til ya stop the trick/run into somethin'. If the running start has ya goin' even faster than a bike (can't tell at a glance), that's a speed-hatching trick for y'all.
