Here's my current SOTW entry:

Though I'm not happy with it, I think it's due to the render but I'm not sure.
I wanted to give out a message in this sig, which I succeeded, 'Til death us do part' and if you look carefully at the sig, you'll see a battlefield with dead soldiers - a head of someones body on his arm. I'm really happy with that part, but there's parts I'm not happy with, so it's possible I'll make a new one. Also Gym (if you read this), lets see the sig your considering entering :]

I also think that it looks really good. But, like Ricardo said, the background removes the idea that he may be parachuting.
But I personally like the background itself. Its still a great piece of work though.

Thanks for the criticism. I've decided I'm gonna find a new render, do the same sort of thing but make the bodies more apparent and change some things around.

I dont think your W will work well with it, you try to a a gritty sort of war font and place it somewhere . . .

Yeah, in sigs, placement of fonts takes me the longest I feel I'm a perfectionist with angles and stuff, yet I'm not good with fonts..

Edit: I also incorporated the dead bodies again in this one :] still subtle, but less subtle

The top Sig, with the border, looks much better. I am unsure about the text placement as well. Maybe you could put the text somewhere at the top or bottom right-hand corner? Nice piece by the way.

Mike that sig is really good, the border in the first sig could be a little shorter, and the Wiired text is in the weapon?? Put it in the bottom right corner, in vertically, it should look much better, but the rest of the sig is really well made
