it seems a bit..grungy, maybe lighten up the background a bit? and darken the white effects around the render a tiny bit =/
 
I think I'm just going to trash it as it seems like too much is going on.

no dont do that, you should never throw away ur work...learn from it and maybe one day u might just go back to it.

i learned that the hard way when i deleted most of Adobe Illustrator work.

Wowww. I'm looking at the sprite sig now...I guess that's what happens when you only put 13 minutes into a sig? Ugh, it looks horrible. I'll fix it later.

i'm miserable... my first day i have spent more than 30min to learn Gimp (2.4.4)

i simply can't get blur or eraser (opacity 50%) to do anything on a specific layer... actually, on any single layer... :nonod:
