I'll try explaining it in more depth.. Open up photoshop then open up the signature you made. Now go to Layer > New Layer then go to Image > Apply Image. After that choose the Rectangular Marquee tool and outline the whole signature. Now go to Edit > Stroke and change the settings to 1px colour: white and change the location to inside. Now go to layer > new layer and go to image > apply image. Outline the signature again using the rectangular marquee tool and then go to edit > stroke. This time change the colour to something that matches your signature and change the location to "outside".

Hmmm Syntax, When you click 'Apply Image' it makes the who Signature into a new layer. Is that normal and do you click Ok on the 'Apply Image' and then select the signature

Edit: Heres a sig i made with a random theme (gundam), in about 6mins, just wanted to see what i could do in limited time.

Edit:Edit: i think the lense flare is a bit wrong but its not too bad

What Image, On mine it's just the Signatutre as a single layer

Meant to say signature, sorry. Basically the new layer should just have your signature and thats it.
