Little tut for text or at least how I do my text. Once you have added a text to the signature find a colour that will blend it in completely with the sig until you can barely see the text. From there go to Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options. Then choose Stroke. This time choose a different colour from your signature that should bring the text out. Set it on 2 and leave it like that. If you need drop the opacity or add a drop shadow.

Finally I emulated Photoshop with Linux.
