Atlus USA has today released some brand new screenshots from its forthcoming RPG Shiren the Wanderer, as well as publishing a new developer’s bog here, courtesy of Clayton S. Chan, editor on Shiren. Chan reveals that in this latest instalment in Shiren’s saga, we get to learn more about Shiren’s past than in previous games, and you’ll also get to control two characters from Shiren’s past. Chan also reveals that the main plotline goes back 2000 years, and features a mythical place called the Karakuri Mansion that Shiren’s old teacher, Sensei gives him the key to. There’s also a princess who’s been sleeping for 1,000 years involved somewhere. Chan says that the many side-stories that can be unlocked once you beat the game are his favourite part of the whole game.
Look for Shiren the Wanderer to hit stores on February 9th.
