When you guys still had Cabrera, Mets & Marlins had the 2 best left sides in the entire league, minus the spotty defense, Cabrera will probably be a 1st baseman for most of (if not the rest of) his career...

Cabrera will be a 1st baseman for the rest of his career unless he gets off the Ryan Howard diet.

Yea, what the hell happened to him? He just seemed to stop caring about everything. Guess thats what happens when you hit the big pay check and actually dont care about the game anymore.

EDIT: Also welcome ROB64 to our fantasy league xD

Well that doesnt sound to good. Is it funding that they are bumping heads about?

Well the city two things that hurt the deal today was the fact that the Marlins wanted the monies for the naming rights to the stadium. Also the city didn't want to pay more than the 94 million dollars the parking garages projected to cost.

There was other issues but all the contract talk was confusing.

Fantasy baseball is all about homeruns so anyone like ryan howard or a-rod or albert are number 1s

I'd take Adam Laroche with the number one pick. He'll suck until mid august and then he'll hit 400 for the last month of the season.

That's pretty debatable since home runs are only 1 category out of at least 10 in most standard leagues, so I don't see your reasoning there.

But Pujols would probably be as close to #1 as you can get right now. Hits for power, hits for avg, awesome with RISP, gold glove defense. Of course, I'm talking outside the fantasy world...
