Some pillock abandoned Wiichat and tried t' start a new forum, urged our members t' migrate over. Somethin' like that. All it did was create a rift in our already-apocalyptified community. I don't remember a quarter'a the **** about it 'cause it's all stupid 'n happened years ago, doubtless Bloke's got a better recollection for ya.

All I member about that other forum period is that user calling this site "A sinking ship" a resulting kinda forum war, people getting banned,
Me getting banned on that other site, joining another forum as some people thought I owned this one to explain stuff (VGZero, its now gone)spending a bit of time on that one

Most of this started as the site owner (i0n) wasn't around and this site had no real active mods, junk about writers not getting paid and outbreaks of freindcode/clan/Pokemon spam

Yeah that ninten-whatever forum. I don't really know what happened but I do remember the word "Wiichat" was censored. Kind of a weird thing when you know you're just trying to replace a website that still exists. I think most people were kinda over the whole forum thing anyways, the WC-apocalypse just made it much worse.

The last time I saw a forum that just flat out died is when I was heavily apart of the Mugen EVE community and then that died and the forum dedicated to it that I modded.

I feel the same though unlike the vast majority I joined in late 2010 and back then this place was "dying" but not like this. It actually had members that I would say were in the hundreds maybe low thousand that were active. Time fly's and **** happens I guess.

Kind of lousy and very busy, unfortunately. Working on improving it though.

Unfortunately changing names was one ability we never got here. Which is stupid. If anyone could ever get in touch with the owners of the site they can change it, though I don't imagine WiiChat would even be a place they remember they're in charge of.
