I had hoped that these services would remain free, due to Nintendo being able to profit on console sales (unlike Microsoft charging for everything on Live to make up for loss on 360s) but it seems that it's not going to happen. If enough people do buy the channel I'm afraid that it will catch on. The good side is that it may increase development (possibly 3rd party, licensed by Nintendo of course).

If you've got a computer, use that... I downloaded the internet channel and pretty much only use it solely for fun... I wouldn't pay $5 for it at any point...
