i currently have mine horizontal =(

it looks WAY better vertical, though. it's just that i didn't have room to put it anywhere else but on my T.V. under my PS2. now my PS2 is unhooked though =P

mine is usually up but while i was at the hotel put it sideways cause it was placed on carpet didn't want it to fall

I like the vertical look the best but I have two kids so things are prone to being knocked over accidently so I went with horizontal for system safety reasons.
