Goldeneye 007 Friend codes Yes or No?
Ok I am new to the online play. I got the Wii 2 years ago and my wife and kid have bought me and them many games. I use to love playing James Bond 007 with my kid on Nintendo 64 so they bought it for me for the Wii. My questions are? What's the benefit of adding someone's friend code that has a high level ranking? ex: level 40. What will that do for me. I see a lot of people offering their friend codes online. Is it safe? Can it harm my system in any way?

No, it won't harm your system. It's for the ability to play with the friends, which will be on your team. It's actually pretty cool since you can join a friend's game and send invitations for a team conflict or other things. And it's safe.

I'm the same way, I grew up on the 64 with it. I like the online play as you can have more than just the traditional 4 players in a match. It allows you to play with people all over the world. The benefits to adding higher levels do have its perks and falls. If they're on you're team and they die well you can pick up their guns that they have unlocked. The only downfall I've noticed is that higher levels seem to attract higher levels in matches. Does that sense? I'm a level 56 and whenever I get placed in a round I tend to get put with those in the 40+ range primarily. There are some times (for instance playing with a friend that's a lower level) that ill be like the only 56 playing with a bunch of 30s and below. I think its just a gamble of sorts as well as who you're online playing with. Hope that helps!

The level issue doesnt rally exists. A Lot of us including me, play just for the joy of old and new times. It is great to play with people from other countries. Im mexican and I Know a lot of people from outside my country. Levels are meaningless. Just add our friend codes, take your weapon, and enter the conflict. You wont regret. Dragon-1

Yes and no.
I used to play with a lvl 48 char (but i wanted to start new, since he had gotten lobby'd for 2-3 levels and decided to have him hopefully lobby'd till lvl 56) Now at level 48 i was constantly up against players between lvl 35 - 56. Which is a pain not so much for the better weapons but because i kept getting mined by the 56 ones. (I like to run around a lot). The ones who have unlocked the proximity most definitely have a dinstinct advantages on certain maps. Try winning in goldeneye with a lower level team against 3 lvl 56 with mines on Archives. It's almost impossible if they know how to play. Which is just plain frustrating. When your lower level (under 25 or so) you get paired up with players ranging 1-35 or so. Which helps for me, cause they don't got proxy mines :).

With friendcodes though, you can easily invite highlevels to such games. Making it (if he's your friend) a lot easier to win the match (in team-based modes).

That is not to say playing against higher levels is a bad thing. Cause amongst the lower ranks are a lot of noobs, making it at times too easy. Whereas higher levels who got better guns give you an interesting challenge. There just needs to be a balance. I mean if you are constantly up against 56 with a level 20 it in the end would not be fun anymore. After 10 games like that in a row, i at least get fed up with it. Since your kill death ratio gets affected. And i'm a sucker for having at least 2:1 ratio in eliminations. But that's just me.

PS: After restarting the game i came to the following conclusion. The Sigmus 9 really is the best looking gun in Goldeneye. Too bad it is not the best one as well. The Stauger is a beast. Good range, big clip, nice damage... it is just soooooo ugly too look at.
So much so, that even knowing i'll be less good with the terra i can't wait to trade it in. It is that ugly a weapon.
