What if he doesn't have a Gamecube controller? Don't you need it to play gamecube games?

maybe he wants vc games? i got sonic 3 im up to zone 6 it is hard as... i also have mario bro's 3 it is sweet... i would suggest bomerman 93 as a good multiplayer maybe a donkey kong game and a N64 game maybe a zelda game?
