Australian wii's

i've heard about bum consoles and i am about to get a wii, i've heard that the launch systems were bugged and that may have been fixed with a new one. i do not have wireless so i cant update (will this cause a problem) and i heard the dongles don't work properly. has anyone in australia had a wii go bum or are they all alright also does anyone have a router/usb dongle that works with the wii they don't want?

these types of threads are pathetic. ofcourse they're not going to release consoles which are all 100% buggy.

and you should know that not updating will not cause any problems. what, you think its gonna self destruct if you don't update it straight away? Well no, it won't self destruct or do anything.
