I've never looked upon Graffiti as a form of art, personally.
But I must admit Jay, that's some hard work you've put in there!
thanks, heres something I made because people think it just isnt an art form, then what is it?

I love your other peices but I have problems with the last one.

It is poor quality and it is on other property.

I will find some pictures of how proper graffeti looks on the streets.

Ever been to barcelona? They have a long wall in the city and each different panel has a different graffeti on it, they only let the best of the best go on the wall and hired some people I believe.

hmm yes ive seen barcelonas legal walls, but they are painted over after the meeting of styles event. New york has the best legal walls because there are a bunch of REALLY great artists in NY that can collaborate, i have tons of photos of new yorks finest work, i would post em but its not my artwork so it defeats the purpose of the thread.(by the way NYC is where graffiti all started, not LA) i guess you guys dont understand the point and meaning of graffiti, so i wont even begin to expain it, just disregard the last pic if you have a problem with it. just comment on my art and not my guilty pleasures

first of all Read your sig, second, dont call me a scumbag. it isnt your property is it? for all you know i could own this apartment...(its owned now:lol:)

if my door looked like that rusty piece of **** id be gratefull if someone drew on it
anyway seeing as though this isnt the "is graffiti wrong" thread ill just shut up and leave !

haha, thats what i thought!

@drmario, i am not even close to a scumbag, i just express my art differently as to how you see art, i think graffiti is beautiful, and you think it is the work of a scumbag, that offends me, but at the same time, your just a guy in cyberspace and probably dont get out much to realize what graffiti really is

I have a problem with graffiti when it doesn't look professional at all, or when it's carved into plastic on bus stops. But, also, if it's someone else's property you might want to get permission before you express yourself all over their walls.

It just makes the street ugly if it's not professional.

can we just drop it? i said disregard that pic like 6 posts ago...pay attention to the style not the concept!

I haven't been doing any personal drawing because I've been knee deep in college work, and that's all realistic drawings that should never be shown the light of day. So, I've eventually grasped some time to pull myself away from work. It's weird though, because when I'm procrastinating my art homework, I just go off and draw something completely different.

I have to watch Major League Baseball, well, don't have to, I like the commentators at 2am because that's the only thing available to Freeview, bah, humbug. But I think this turned out okay. I have to remember to make my legs longer.

Image was here, get round to resizing some time.

Spontaneously, I decided to draw an A3 project. It's a little diner, it's not finished yet, just inked, haven't even rubbed out my lines. HOWEVER, this is only half of the piece, it's just, a preview for the moment to show you that I'm active. I reeeaaally like this, it'll look fantastic coloured. Smiley bin! :)

Same for this one.

Big page, won't fit in my A4 scanner so there's shadow.
