I like the music idea, then everyone can have their own victory theme and such.
As for the bonuses idea, I'd prefer it if we made up our own bonuses. As in best KO, hilarious death/ko/suicide, taunting before KOing, popping the smashville balloon, awesome combo, and such.
Also, if we have a victory song, we may as well have a victory image to go with it at the end of the video with the message on top "xxx wins!" or "this game's winner is: xxx", then it's even more customizable.

Yes, we would make up our own, but maybe take some from the Melee bonuses too? I didn't mean all of them. I'm still waiting for Bio's input on this. I like the victory image idea. If you want a certain image or music clip for when you win, let me know via PM. Images should be 300x250 or less (or I can resize them if they are big) and music clips should be 14 seconds or less (and more than 5 seconds). Exceptions can be made if it's close. Also, this offer is open only to those who have won at least 1 match.

So I've been trying to think of ways to make the videos better/more fun/whatever. I've only had two possible ideas:

1. Let you all choose your own music clips for when you win a brawl or the match or whatever else.
2. Have Melee-style "bonuses" (i.e. Smash King, 150% damage, Stiff Knees, etc. Here's a full list of them if you still don't know what I'm talking about.) which could award totally meaningless points or actual league points if you guys think it's a good idea.

What do you think of these ideas? Do you have any of your own ideas? Discuss.

Idea 1 is win. Idea 2 seems like it'd be a bit too much work, though. I'm not saying you don't work hard (you certainly do), but isn't that going a bit far? And not for much reason either, IMO.

Doing better in brawl doesn't mean that he's more mature. Look at CPU, he beat Ken in brawl and he was 14 years old.

Not a bad idea, real-o. I guess you should just make sure you're up to the job of putting more into each video.

The music theme thing is a good idea, though I think it's important that we keep these bonuses to a reasonable number, and generally refer to moments that don't happen often (for example, I'm not sure about giving a combo bonus since skilled players can whip those out on players at low percentages pretty often) so that it's more rewarding.

150% damage, for example, is a great bonus. Popping the smash balloon is pretty good, too. Then we could go on with KO bonuses, such as spike KO, low% KO, FALCON PAWNCH or Rest KO,...wouldn't be too hard to come up with these.

Yeah, the items were on but they were tournament rules.

No, you'll have to get an SD Card Reader (and SD card) yourself if you want Brawl+, or Homebrew for that matter. To play with Brawl+, we'd both need the codeset. Lame, yes? =/ SD cards can be cheap though, and SD card readers can be around $10. I know of an incredibly easy way to install Homebrew too; even on System Menu 4.0.

This is getting interesting now Dinner's here, I heard you have a great marth.

And sorry about the replays, I never discovered that rule until my latest matches.

btw, I liked the Falcon PAWNCH KO bonus, but I'm afraid it would boost CK even more, no?
Also, how about slight point deductions for using Mk and Snake? you know, since a lot of people gravitate towards these two to win. I was also thinking of deductions for repeating character, since I would find the variety charming, but I'm not sure if people would like that.

You're trying to kill my score, aren't you.

I believe if any point deductions for certain characters are to be in place, it should only be for MK. Snake is Top Tier, but he has his counters and disadvantages. MK is the only one I believe should be involved with point deductions.

I think forcing people into mixing it up is a bad idea. Rather, there could be a slight point increase by say, times 1.3, if you don't use any character twice in a row, or twice in every 3 matches (not entire official sets), so on and so on.

On that subject, how about there be a times 1.5 point bonus for winning a match with current bottom tier'ers, i.e. Falcon, Link, etc.?

I wouldn't mind this rule.

Rule #107: The winning player cannot use the same character twice in a row.

This means if they win they have to switch characters. I'm pretty sure that everyone has at least two characters they can use decently well.
