Yo WTF.. Help on Fire Temple?

Im reading a guide and in the first stages of the fire temple you know the big door that you are supposed to put your big boots on, and to the right of the door theirs a platform that u step on, to acess the next level? Yeah, im steppin on it with my big boots and nothins happenin... help?
