Ok..so everyone continues to talk about how you cant talk to whoever you are playing online or see them like the xbox can....im not completely sure if we will ever get that or not...but i would assume eventually we will

the whole point of this is..why not make a seperate msn ..just for your wii online play....use your wii console name @hotmail.com or something...then...have ur webcame set up with whoever you are playing against with audio hooked up...and you are good to go...


i just think that if u have a sepearte msn or w.e ...use the same one u have now..add your friends from wiichat and whoever u play online...and start doing that...make the most from which u have until nintendo does something about it.....think outside the box...i duno..just a small thought ,.....

exactly...this would help huge for peopel who play in tournaments i think and just overall fixes the issue for the time being.....this is something that is really needed until nintendo does something like i said above..

Webcams? Nintendo? Don't count on it. In all seriousness, there is no way Nintendo would do that. Could you imagine the public backlash against them? People complained about how Wii's internet channel would be a gateway to porn for children, and how pedophiles would someone jump from the television screen and snatch away their kids. Nintendo doesn't strike me as the type of company that would take a risk like that.

Voice chat is another thing, definately expect that though.

yeh..maybe not webcams..but i mean for these ppl i see posting stuff about how they dont like how they can't see who they are playing against or hear them...thats all they have to do ...easy as 1 2 3....webcam if ur into that..or just audio..there are ways around nintendo not having ne thing right now..yet ppl still complain!

i think it will be sweet if they add a webcam. i definetely want to be able to talk to my friends. But i dont NEED a webcam but it would be nice to have.

Instead of using msn, use a chat program. It could be a lot easier than what you're saying.

It would be a little pointless walking over to your pc while in between games wouldn't it?

Stop saying this. It is wrong. The chip DECODES audio.

Thank you Ciper, the chip just decodes audio for use for external devices like mics and headsets. It probably needs a driver update first anyway.
