i think the point of the high earners is that they worked their arse of to be in a position where they are earning that kind of money and then the tax that they pay to the govt is going to go to a bunch of dodgy lazy arse scratching layabouts who lie around and do FA all the time (not refering to everyone that will be getting the bonus, but there are a lot of people that fit the category) and they are annoyed not because they think they need the bonus but the fact that why does shazza from lizbef/dandenong/dodgy perth/sydney suburb deserve the handout and they dont.

Not everyone can be lucky enough to get the opportunity to earn $100 000 a year. I can't agree that the amount of money earned is equal to the amount of work put in anyway. It's also more likely that the people in this group will re-circulate the money into the economy, which in turn helps protect jobs all over Australia. These people will also be the hardest hit by the global down turn and need support.

The Liberals only want tax cuts because the rich donors to the party want to profit from others suffering.

the thing that malcolm turnbull is saying is not "dont do any stimulus package" but just "lets spend the money on building infrastructure to help people to help themselves" rather than saying here, have some cash for doing nothing.

He doesn't even want to spend much on infrastructure. His package barely puts anything into our schools which in turn will hurt the building industry.

In fact his package does virtually nothing, it's obvious the Liberals don't want to protect our Economy for the future.

dam i wish i was lucky enough to earn $100,000 a year... i thought that would be classed as high income? most people dont earn much over 50,000.

I only really have one comment that may not even be the opposition's problem. Sorry guys, but I haven't had enough time to careful listen to everything they've said, so I've been forced to listen to the opinions of people who think they are siding with Turnball. I was listening to someone complain the Government was in surplus, and Rudd shouldn't change that. Perhaps. But what is the point of the Government being in surplus if we do fall into a recession? "Oh hey guys, I know you can barely get food on your table at the moment, but hey, at least we have money we're sitting on!" If that did happen people would be harping something completely different.

And sorry, I can't find that much sympathy for the over $100,000 earners. Those of us in the low and middle income earners have to pay tax too, it's not like they are the only ones that do. The sooner they stop acting like they are somehow "working harder" then anyone else the better. You don't necessarily work harder then anyone else to get in that pay bracket, they need to realise that.
... Sorry it's just I see the pays of the people at my work and the attitudes they have about things like this.

Well I'm back from my night dive. My Lord that was one ****ed up experience, we went alright on the wya out. Then there was some confusion with buddies as there was a massive group crossover so some went on with another group whan they weren't meant to and our instuctor went off looking for him, but the guy who was lost was still just with the other group.

So we(my group) sat at the bottom for 20mins in the same spot wondering what the hell was going on, so we finally surfaced and swam back to our already surfaced instructor and other group.
Night diving just makes a simple job harder and for very little change in what you see...Nature wise that is, it's pitch black, so don't thinnk of it like that.

The end. PLUS I finally got the CD with all the underwater phtos on it, I'll post tomorrow.

BUT OMFG! I have a stupid swimming carnval tomorrow which I have to go to otherwise the principle yells at you no matter what reason you possess. Sooo...I'm gonna sit in the stand, cheer a bt, then head down to the showers, shower, stay in a cubicle for a bit then walk back upstairs with my towel and act like I did something.

Because I'm stuffed.

its called a letter form your parent or guardian saying that you can not attend because of a head cold... i used that one sooooooooo many times. i think i only went to one sports carnival and that was in primary school. the rest i was at home playing console games :lol:


so matter how much they yell at you. as long as you have that letter your all good :thumbsup:

the thing is, the budget is already going to go in to a deficit, which means in order to pay all this money in to the econonmy, the govt has to BORROW another 42billion from wherever govts borrow money from.

that money will have to be paid back eventually, which will generally mean higher taxes for everyone.

on another note, i cant break 92% for hotel california in GHWT on hard.
