The lens problem could actually be more serious than Nintendo are making out. When they take them back to "clean" it, some people think that they are actually replacing the lens altogether, and mostly on release wiis.

If I have to send in my Wii and they mod it to get rid of Freeloader, Nintendo Australia will be getting a very stern talking to. They should be grateful to the Freeloader - no one wants to wait for Brawl... Hey, it might even sell them some consoles.
