Optoma HD70 DLP HD Home Theater Projector - at 480P I can project the wii at just under 100in.
Watching TV in HD I get 130in.
With the wireless sensor bar in place it works great!!!

Forgive me if I am wrong but I am willing to bet you have a plasma and not an LCD.

forgiven i guess..it's a Rear projection LCD, i'm pretty sure i know what it is considering i reasearched it for like 3 months before buying...

Sony has 2 different model 40" Bravia's that are 1080p. 1080p TV's go as small as 32".
