What to do when facing a hacker?

I'm stuck racing a hacker on Mario Kart Wii and it was HORRIBLE. They kept launching blue shells, bombs, red shells, and I think even lightning before the race even started! And their name was [ED]Evil2 and that name fit them perfectly because they were certainly EVIL. I wanted to know the best thing to do when facing a hacker. I barely got first place with all the nonsense they kept doing. Please help?

Just quit. I think that's what everyone should do. Why give a hacker the pleasure of messing with people?

Sometimes is fun playing with hackers xD... As far as they don´t use the items as you described it... Dunno, There was a couple of fun races where that dude was getting ahead of everyone with the bullet just to chase people with the star... and all I had to do was take the detour of the fountain in Peach beach (Dunno the english circuit names lol) to get the second place... although I can´t say if the first place was a hacker or not... Yeah it´s better to quit xD

1. just quit the race.

2.stay behined 1st and go as far to the side of the road as possible.

3.stay behined and get items to protect you. (these work sometimes)
