Urgently in need of help - Programming in Lua 5.1

Recently WoW has switched to Lua 5.1 and I am the author of a popular addon called "Lore". Though not the original author, I haven't been able to find any documentation on Lua 5.1 that I can understand (In other words everything I have found requires previous Programming knowledge that I don't have) Fans are goiing to be on the verge of breaking down my door within 1 day. Can anyone help? I will point you to the Lore file if you PM me.

UPDATE: Blizzard is having trouble with the patch, so I have about 3 days I expect. Longer depending on the size of the proble. (They don't trust us with information >.<)
